One Thousand Gifts (of mine)...

I used Grammarly to check this blog post, because I would rather be spending time with my family and garden, than checking the grammar of this blog post!**

Back in September, I read  book called One Thousand Gifts. I have been thinking often lately about trying to do this exercise. I think it will be easy in the beginning...I think it will be difficult to come up with 1000 that do not repeat. So, I am going to try. Obviously, this will not be done all in one sitting...(Aren't you glad?)

Yes, I am taking pause here. People will wonder about that last one. I am thankful for crows that alert my roosters that there is a hawk nearby. I am thankful for crows who are so territorial that they protect my flock from other predatory birds. I am thankful for crows who do not try to make my chickens birds of prey. 
50. I am thankful for the ability to worship.
51. I am thankful to be able to praise Jesus. 
52. Oh....I am thankful for books.
53. I am thankful for the Bible.
54. I am thankful my great-great aunt taught me to crochet. 
55. I am thankful for eggs.
56. I am thankful for butterflies. 
57. I am thankful for birds. 
58. I am thankful for sand under my toes at the beach.
59. I am thankful for the wind. 
60. I am thankful for intellect.
61. I am thankful for heat.
62. I am thankful to the grandmother who taught me to milk a cow. 
63. I am thankful for socks.
64. I am thankful for shoes.
65. I am thankful for tents.
66. I am thankful for sleeping bags. 
67. I am thankful for scripture.
68. I am thankful for prayer partners. 
69. I am thankful for worship warriors. 
70. I am thankful for the sound of my grandson's cries. 
71. I am thankful for homeschooling.

So, these were the most obvious...they are the people and things that fill my daily life or that of my family.
