not as tech stupid as you might think...
.........................................................................................................
my assistive technology cognate comes in quite handy still today, though it was obtained almost two decades ago...
here's the deal - a feedscraper is reprinting my content without permission. i have asked my content to be deleted. it is always done so for only a short bit, then it reappears. so if you are reading this, please stay with me and follow long for a short update...
an ip might scrape your content or a bot might do so. companies create bots to scrape content as well. so...watch where your feed is burning to and try several things. if a company is scraping your feed, they can"delete" your blog feed content all day long. but, if the rss feed is not cut from the scraper, the content will reappear.
someone might tell you it is a "bug" or some other technical issue...but it is not...the issue is the company that is scraping did not remove the feed link.
as well, i have learned more about bots and feed and how to control them in less than one month than ever before.
other options bloggers might want to look into are using a different rss feed support. one where you can block bots and unwanted readers. just a thought to twirl around in your heads.
ending thought: a blog is not really deleted (in the true definition of the word) if you just rename the blog feed to be this blog has been deleted.
